Swinging into Spring

It's finally been nice enough lately to get outside, and what better way to spend time than with the cousins! (they can show us how to do it right)

In fact, it was SO nice, we went to two other parks, before we found one that wasn't packed!

We all went to Monterey elementary and had a great time...even Smoky and Max were there to play (don't tell Ily). Jackson and G took Amara down the slide and Eric, Grandma Jackie and I all took turns swinging with Amara (no baby swings there). Next, we're going to try and find a baby swing and take the Ily pup to join in!

Can't wait to go back!

Bibs

As you would imagine, clothes are the topic de'jour a LOT in the household. What is the weather going to be like today? How do you dress her at 6am for the day at grandmas's when you don't know if she'll be out on the mower, or inside all day? What fits? Where is the top to these pants? You get the picture...a sure fire winner when grandma has her are her bibs. They are SO adorable on her--usually paired with her John Deere pink sweatshirt, but TODAY--with her OSU hat...she's not ALWAYS in pink or flowers!

I particularly love the pics of Ily at the back door--looking at Amara like "can YOU let me in, now that you can stand up?"

Messy eater

Amara really likes most foods...ESPECIALLY the ones she can feed herself. I'm not sure at what point we lost control here, but--she enjoyed herself. As if the corn wasn't enough, dad brought over some blueberries and applesauce (PURPLE, yeah!) and away she went. Hilarious. Straight into the tub for sure!

She's really enjoying pieces of almost anything now, crackers or anything she can nibble on are famously popular!

Love bug

Amara loves her holidays. She seems to rise to the occasion and Valentine's Day was no disappointment--top teeth have made their way in!

Our little girl is such a happy kid. She reminds us daily to laugh often and be goofy at any cost. I think that is why the whole teething topic has been funny for us--we really didn't notice a lot of symptoms, other than the drooling, and then POP! a tooth. 4 days later, another one.

For now, it seems to have paused, 2 on bottom in December, 2 on top in February...we'll see what Spring holds!

Miss Independent

For a while now, Amara has been awestruck with glasses. Particularly, any we're drinking from. We have squarish glasses, so it's easy for her to drink from the corners, and (we think) pretty adorable too.
