We moved out to Denton, construction and all. Paper plates, one bathroom, tackstrips in the hallways and NO kitchen--but we moved.
We were convinced we HAD to get Copper Ct. on the market, so we pulled the plug and listed it.
Within 24 hours the house had been shown I think 8 times and inside of 48 hours we had 4 SOLID offers. Susan was thrilled and called for all offers to go "best and final" with 6 pm Saturday as the cutoff.
As the time approached, we enjoyed our weekend as usual, played, unpacked, had a leisurely (although rainy) Saturday morning all together.
At around 4, we met Susan to review our 4 offers--ALL OVER LIST--and still only 72 hours after the house went live on MLS. Incredible.
We signed our offer and decided to all go to Bob Evans together (Ken, Susan, us and mom).
Sunday, we woke up to a chilly morning but the bluest skies ever and an amazing day. We played outside ALL DAY.
Grandma Young came to help us early on--Eric and I ran to Home Depot to look at drawer pulls and get wood glue (typical). She helped us get the carpeting in the "cottage" and we got the girls desk and chair and cabinet cleaned up and in place for them.
Later on Grandma Jahn came out too--she helped us pull weeds and beautify the back yard for HOURS. It was such a cool and amazing day, we all decided we just couldn't stay inside.
Dinner and showers were at the Jahn's (since water pressure is still hit or miss). We enjoyed burgers and fresh corn from Grandpa's field--I mean does it get better?
The kids went to sleep clean and with little fuss. Hopefully with visions of sweet corn in their heads. In contract on Copper, fun at the new house, family and sweet corn. If we can have a weekend or two like this a year, I'll consider myself pretty darn lucky ;)
