Birthday morning for Cora was a continuation of a long weekend. Her party was on Sunday, so we planned to take her birthday off and spend at COSI together--well, with about half of Columbus, since it was a holiday ;)
I made waffles for everyone for breakfast--still all tired and lazy from the big party day before. We got ready and made it up there though, shortly after opening. Everyone got their 2nd wind of energy and we headed straight to the Ocean exhibit to explore. (I LOVE, LOVE this pic of the girls--despite the fact that they both look so old and so BIG :))
The girls love all that water exploring and splashing :) The got to climb into the submarine this time too--like I said, something new at every age and experience with these two. The gadget/ gear space was new for us, but they loved all the gizmos and science things.
Amara loved the wind experiments too--that one might have a career in science or medicine after all!
After a quick lunch, we headed up to the KidSpace. We almost didn't--knowing that they were "almost" outgrowing it the last time we were there, but boy were we surprised! They have completely redone the entire area! The girls played forever in the farm area and even got a surprise bug/animal show in the afternoon--so glad we didn't miss that, with Amara's love for bugs (Cora, not so much).
We stayed and played for HOURS and only left just in time to get home and meet up with grandparents for a birthday dinner at our house. An amazing day at COSI to celebrate our big 3 year old Cora Bee
