After surgery on Friday, we had to let mom rest, partially in the ICU and then just calm and quiet for a day. By Sunday though the girls were ready to go visit grandma and she was ready for her hair to be washed! (priorities) We went up and Amara was so quiet and peaceful with her. She was just great.
Cora was understandably a bit overwhelmed--but all in all, mom took calls from well-wishers and enjoyed the snacks we brought her as well as having entertainment.
Calls came in from West Virginia and Florida and visitors the same. In the meantime, Eric and I got to work making these support bands for her and shipping them all over the place to anyone who would wear them and I was happy to do it. We know this is far from the end, but it is also great to see mom doing well and excited to see the kids at least.
