We are so, so, SO lucky and thankful that mom has taken Amara to little gym for the last year and a half. She loves it and without a doubt it's contributed to her balance, confidence, coordination, and their own special bonding time-events too.
I was lucky enough to get to tag along one day (not that Eric or I get to nearly as much as we'd like to) after visiting Lakeshore Learning store (thanks Annie) for some holiday shopping one morning.

She's quite apt on the balance beam and her confidence on these uneven bars is great! When you think about the scale of these pieces of equipment, I'm not sure I could do some of the things she does on them!
She loves going side-to-side on the bars, beam, or whichever piece she is on. Mom is a great spotter--whereas some of the other caregivers kind of let the kids roam, she's always right there to help out--which I know gives Amara confidence too.
It's hard to believe how far she's come so quickly! Mom mentioned her next session would be the last with parents in there--when she's three, she goes on her own...I think we all can't believe that is here already, and we'll be sitting outside the glass watching very soon.
