Family visit

Each year, my dad's family (usually Aunt Virginia) comes in for a visit.  They live out in the Utah/Nevada area and this year my cousin Karen came too. 

We had a cookout at Aunt Sue's Wednesday and it was SOOOO hot!  Amara kept coming in and out of her house and was eating ear after ear of corn :)  Cora was getting pretty sleepy from the heat, so we didn't stay long, but all the kids were having fun in the back yard and it's always good to see my family (really only once a year usually).

The next night was a pizza party at the Jahn's (grandma and grandpa).  Amara was excited to head down there and play with everyone and especially had fun playing hide and seek with Cade, Cole, and Garhett (always the older boys, that one.)  She barely ate anything but a breadstick, too much going on.

Cora was great--several people held her and she did great, taking in all the new faces and kids--there were 5 kids under 3 (Amara, Kayelynn, Gideon, Megan, and Cora) then the 3 older boys too.  Good thing not EVERYONE came!  We all had fun and of course were sad (or had a meltdown) when it was time to go, but since we're all still recovering we needed our beauty sleep :)

We couldn't make it to the Friday or Saturday events, but hey, some visit was better than none--and always looking forward to the next visit.
