Our advent tree

Eric and I have had several traditions (already) come and go. We're trying to make some (literally) with the kids that will stick from year to year--that they won't grow tired of or outgrow...

We decided last year on an advent tree, but couldn't find one we loved.   I looked throughout the year also, but still nothing.

I happened across one I liked, but we weren't sure how to decorate it, so we decided to just wing it.

During November, the girls painted boxes (when they felt in a painting mood) from time to time, and the color on our tree grew cheery and bright.

We carefully selected our numbers, I painted the base and added some glitter,and our centerpiece was completed.

We adore our little finished project and hope to enjoy it for many, many years to come.
