Red backpack

After the open house last week for Primrose Pre-K, Amara was issued a new Pre-K red backpack.  As I headed home with it, along with the letter about her new uniform policy, I wondered if she'd be waiting up for me.

She was upstairs working on a Highlights puzzle magazine with daddy. When I walked in the room with that red bag, she lit up like a Christmas tree and asked "is that for me? Am I going to be in PRE-K?!"

Who knew kids paid attention to things like that.

Mom and I shopped and found her uniform requirements, and today, with the red backpack, she started Pre-K.

I hope she had a wonderful day--she sure looked like a million bucks!
