Grandpa Jahn's heart pillow

After grandpa Jahn had his heart surgery in November, the girls and I decided to make him a heart pillow for his recovery. In the hospital, he had to hold on to blankets to get up or anytime he moved really to protect his chest, and I had read about pillows for heart patients that they could hold on to.

Amara and I picked out some nice fleece--she picked a bold, wintery fabric that was super soft, and i found a pattern online.

Right before grandpa was to come home, we sewed and stuffed and stuffed some more. Lots of love went into that pillow, even though the seams weren't perfect, it is soft and should be perfect for grandpa to hug and think of his tiny sewing girls as we recovers.
