Music class with Ms. Amy

The girls have been taking music class at Carissa's the last 2 months with Ms. Amy and it's been great.  Each week, they come home excited about a new song they learned--we don't talk much about notes, etc. but having the piano Char gave us in the house, I secretly keep hoping they will want to "pick it up."

They sing Michael Finegan, which they love, and some old songs we recognize from We Joy Sing with Mrs. Kelly. Ms. Amy boasts about how well the girls can keep rhythm and distinguish high and low notes and even are learning the note names and locations. I think music an only HELP kids, so i'm all about it. They will break for now till January, but start right back up--and THEN, get to take actual mini piano lessons. SO COOL! Go girls!
