Amara graduates Foxfire Jr. program

After just a few lessons, and seemingly as quickly as it started, the Foxfire Jr. golf camp had come to a close. The original tournament date (last class) was rained out due to a HUGE storm that day, but it worked out that I was able to take her AND be her caddy for the day :)

I was SO, SO impressed with how much she had progressed in just the 6 week camp!  The way it was set up, they hit from a marker, not the tee box--so they actually got to the green, got to chip, putt, etc.  We were partnered with twins who were about 10 or 11, and had done the camp many times, so it was a great group to be a part of.

I think she likes driving better than putting at this point, but she didn't complain about either. I let her drive the cart a few times and tried not to over "teach" her, but just watch and enjoy. She made it through all 9 holes between 8 and 11, then at the end the kids got a visor and a shirt to take home. She immediately asked if we could go back again, and I'm sure will be eager to sign up when summer rolls around.
