mom's last radiation

Mom not only tackled 29 rounds of radiation, but she did it with grace and ease. She made it sound so painless and effortless, I was amazed. Truly, she never complained, not once, and I don't think she'd have minded another dozen rounds!

At the end of the treatment, she got to ring the bell with her therapists, who had been right by her side the whole time. They gave her a bell pin with this card that they all signed for us to keep.

We stopped and grabbed a Starbucks on the way home too and I tried to make the day special for her at every turn. China Bell for lunch together, and having Amara get off the bus at her house too.

Eric picked up a DQ ice cream cake (at the girls' request) and surprised grandma too, she loved it!

We cuddled and hugged and celebrated all evening, and stayed till everyone was tired. We couldn't be more proud of grandma and happy that she hit this milestone and achieved her goal. We don't know what's next, but we'll be right here for her regardless.
