Picking apples with Jonathan and Mrs. Sarah

We were SO excited to have our new family join us for our family apple trip this year!!  Cora's first outing, and Mrs. Sarah and Jonathan all joined us at Lynd's. It was a bit of a chilly day, but we all headed out early and were ready to go.

They put up a new barn this year, so they moved the big red chair outdoors.  I got this quick shot of daddy and the kiddos while Sarah and I hid from the hay fight that was happening all around us.
After our time in the barn getting veggies and decorations, we headed to the orchard.  It was pretty muddy, but the sun was coming out and warming things up.  We got right to work, and Amara wasted no time digging in and sampling.

She loves her apples--who doesn't?  Nothing like one fresh off the tree (and big as your head!)

Cora had to get in on it too--she's been having solid foods for a few weeks, so we let her gnaw on the apples we have around--she only gets frustrated when she can't get more of the apple in her mouth.  No teeth yet to grab onto it, but it's just a matter of time.

Those bite marks are NOT Cora's, but Amara's--that's the other thing about being surrounded by apples, she picks them, takes a bite, then picks for everyone else.  I think these were Jonathans and SO yummy!

My sweet little Cora and her angry bird hat--great outing!
