Getting our christmas trees

The day after thanksgiving has changed for us over the years from black-friday frenzy, to "what time does the tree farm open?" Mom and dad and we all headed down to Land's in hopes of finding the perfect one, like the last few years.

It was warm enough for just a long-sleeved shirt, kind of takes the magic of snow away, but makes getting around easier. We looked high and low--back and forth, but finally found one down in the lower area, across the bridge.

Cora was modeling the fashion and popping her collar for a photo shoot, Amara was making sure the guides knew what they were doing, and giving dad and Eric direction, and mom was taking pictures--just like always.

We got on the road after a bit, but not before picking out a new ball tree to plant, "Dewey" is what the girls decided to call him and we put him up by the house to decorate before we put him out with Pokey from last year. We also got our traditional hot cocoa while she shook the needles out of the tree and bagged it up. A great day with my fav. people.
