TLG: Halloween party

Just like last year, we were excited to find out her Little Gym class was going to be hosting a costume day for a Halloween themed party for the kids.  Last year, she wore her OSU cheerleader outfit (not her Angel costume) to be able to move, so we took a lesson from that and decided on her backup costume (a cowgirl) for class, instead of her costume this year...the blue dinosaur.

Memaw came to get her ready and pigtails in, skirt, boots and vest on, we prepared her goodie bag for her friends (a collection of silly bands, rubber ducks and stickers that we got, so she could share with them after class) to take with her.  She used her candy pail for tomorrow, a felt ghost, and they took off out the door, equipped with the Diego Halloween DVD to watch on the way.

As you can see, she's flying right along on the uneven bars, and excels at the spider move (which she practices involuntarily at home all the time!)

Mom called to fill me in, since I couldn't make it to class b/c of my back right now, and she said they had a great time.  Amara really enjoyed sharing her treats with friends, and she got a jawbreaker from Miss Amber (the candy corn), which mom said she whittled down to a tiny pebble with not so much as a drip of candy juice escaping (funny, she makes a DISASTER of tootsie rolls!).

We made a card for Miss Amber with a pumpkin craft photo holder, that she got to share--and then she and Memaw headed to their little pizza spot in the strip mall for their usual slice of pizza lunch.

There was one particular costume she really liked, this little fuzzy puppy.  Kids like the basic ones, so cute.

Swinging on the bar, then falling down.  She got a lot of practice on this one over the summer, as Eric bought a bar and hung it from memaw's apple tree--a spot where they spend a lot of time!

Tomorrow is music class--I'm not sure if they dress up for that, but I'm sure Amara will be all ready to go--anything where she can interact or share is great for her (and us too!)
