lights at alum creek

We decided to head up to see the lights kind of on a whim this year.  Things had been busy in the month of December and we really left ourselves with one day as an option.  After a morning of baking sugar cookies, we packed up the girls, still in jammies, with blankets and snacks and got snuggled in for the ride.

Cora insisted on having her window down--but the "WHOA" she let out as we rounded that first corner could be certainly heard by those around us.
We enjoyed all the displays--no snow, in fact a big melt made quite a few puddles, but we thanked the workers and wished them all Merry Christmas as we left.  Amara added her own "Happy Merry Christmas" to the greetings too, and was pretty proud of herself for thinking it up, haha.
