Mistletoe market, cakes and Christmas parade

To wrap up the end of a busy (bonus) day for us in December, we decided to head to the GC mistletoe market/ parade for the evening.

First up was cake decorating at Cap City cakes. Super fun! I was so impressed with the girls' skill and patience and it was just a fun event to do all together.

Next outside to the market where we got a few things to decorate the house for Christmas, got some subs at a food truck, some cocoa, and found our place along the parade route to wait for the festivities.

There were lots of local businesses handing out candy canes and three or four bands including Grove City. We looked for Carissa's girls (Hanna and Hollie) but it was too dark to really tell.

The best entry hands down were the hot air balloon baskets that were glowing their flames without any envelopes. That hot air balloon sound and sight is amazing. At the end, Santa rode in on the basket of a big fire department ladder, waving to all the kids.
It was the perfect length for a chilly night and we hustled over to see the live nutcracker display downtown in the city hall window on the way out. it was amazing.
