Thanksgiving crafting

Our after dinner ritual used to be games. Cards, board games, etc. but as soon as we all started having kids, we had to shift a little.  We transitioned to crafting a few years back when Amara took to all of it so much, so every year I try to pick a few that are simple, some more for the kids and some keepsakes for the adults.

This year we had canvases to paint negative tape space or TP roll trees. Amara LOVED that craft of course--Cora didn't care about hers as much--but still had fun.
It's so great that Sherry's family all loves to do this kind of stuff too. Any time that Amara can get with H&H makes her day ;) The older girls actually made signs for the younger Hamm girls too, so that was super sweet.

We moved on to making some ornaments and did some with palm prints, which they then turned into snowmen families on bright blue glass ornaments.

We also had fun creating ornaments with popsicle sticks (using pinterest of course) and made snowmen, trees, and all sorts of lovely things I can't wait to hang.

Grandma Sher was in her element with the babies too--some of the older kids took off, or took breaks, but we spend a couple hours with glue, paint, buttons, felt, sticks and glitter that really was fun and a great way to spend the afternoon.
